Bachelor party with friends in different cities: find the destination in 5 minutes

The screenshots show Flymatch in Italian: buttons and menus are in the same places in every language.

When the groom's friends live in four different cities, organising the bachelor party stops being a matter of taste and becomes a logistics problem. Everyone suggests their favourite destination, then it turns out there's no direct flight from Copenhagen or that from Rome you'd need a layover. The group chat gets longer and the weekend is still undecided.

With Flymatch the organiser turns the process around. You enter everyone's airports and the date already agreed, and you get only the destinations each person can reach with a direct flight. The group receives a proposal that has already been checked, with the price for each person, not a wish list.

The scenario: the organiser leaves from Turin, Luca from Rome, Andrea lives in Copenhagen, Tommaso in London. The chosen weekend is Friday 16 – Sunday 18 April.

1. Enter the guests' airports

Open Who's flying. Your airport is already there if you're signed in. For each guest click Add a friend, rename them with the pencil and search for their city.

For cities with several airports it's worth selecting all of them, so you don't miss routes served only by a smaller airport. For London that's Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, Luton and City. Leave out the train stations that appear in the list, such as St Pancras: they're no use for finding flights.

Guests don't need a Flymatch account: all you need to know is where they're flying from.

2. See where you can all fly

With no date filter, Flymatch shows the destinations reachable with a direct flight from all four airports: 40 destinations. On the map each guest has their own colour, so you can see at a glance where everyone is coming from. The list shows each person's distance.

Useful if the date is still open: it tells you straight away which cities make sense for this group.

3. Lock in the weekend

In When → Exact dates select outbound Fri 16 Apr and return Sun 18 Apr.

The filter is strict: only the destinations with direct flights for everyone remain, outbound on Friday and back on Sunday. From 40 you drop to 14, from Barcelona to Budapest, from Dublin to Istanbul.

If the weekend isn't fixed yet, use Flexible dates: pick the month, Fri as outbound and Sun as return. Flymatch shows you which weekends work for each destination. It's worth looking a little further ahead: for the same group, a weekend in Barcelona in November cost €871.

4. Compare prices and times for each person

Open a destination: Flymatch fetches live prices and shows, for each guest, the outbound and return flights, the cost and the Group total.

Barcelona: flights and prices for each guest, €324 in total
Barcelona: flights and prices for each guest, €324 in total

For Barcelona the total is €324 for four people, about €81 each return:

  • You, from Turin: €55
  • Luca, from Rome: €65
  • Andrea, from Copenhagen: €138
  • Tommaso, from London: €66

The most useful figure for a bachelor party is "Arrivals within 11 h 5 min": the window between the first and the last arrival. Here you land at midday and Luca at 23:25: whoever arrives first has the day to get the evening ready.

By comparison, Budapest on the same weekend costs €463 in total. Opening two or three destinations takes a minute and can save the group more than a hundred euros.

The flights suggested are the cheapest, not always the most convenient: here three return flights out of four leave early on Sunday morning. With All flights everyone can choose a different time, and the total updates straight away.

5. Share the proposal with the group

Click the share icon next to the destination name. The link is copied to the clipboard and contains the whole search: guests, airports, dates and destination.

Paste it into the group chat with a screenshot of the summary. Whoever opens it sees exactly your screen and can check their own flights before booking. Everyone books their own with Book.
